The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched Falcon 2, a generative AI model introduced by The Technology Innovation Institute (TII).
The Falcon 2 series consists of Falcon 2 11B, a text-based model, and Falcon 2 11B VLM, a vision-to-language model, both equipped with 11 billion parameters and trained on a vast dataset of 5.5 trillion tokens.
The report further mentions an open-source feature that makes Falcon 2 accessible to developers worldwide and also offers multilingual support, which expands the scope of AI applications in various industries. The Technology Innovation Institute aims to foster collaboration and accelerate innovation in AI research and development.
