El Cosmico is said to be the world’s first 3D printed hotel opening in the outskirts of the city of Marfa, Texas, and is being constructed by Texas-based 3D printing company ICON.
According to reports, the property spans over 40 acres and will feature 43 new single-room hotel units and 18 three-bedroom residential units, all crafted using cutting-edge 3D printing technology with curved walls and a dome.
The report further mentions that the expansion of the hotel and campground is expected to be completed in 2026, and hotel units will be priced at $200-$450 USD per night.
In August, Incognito blog reported on the world’s largest 3D-printed neighborhood in Texas, called the “Genesis Collection,” constructed using ICON’s Vulcan robotic construction system.
