These buses are propelled using electric motors, which produce zero emissions and significantly reduce noise pollution, making them an ideal choice for public transportation.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has announced a new development for the Lagos Mass transit. This is the unveiling of new electric buses for public transportation, modified with the ability to travel 280km at full charge, taking into account the unique travel times in Lagos.
Governor Sanwo-Olu’s announcement included a partnership with Oando PLC, to build a cleaner and greener public transportation system. As part of their electric bus initiative, the Lagos State government’s collaboration with Oando, involves strategically installing Universal Electric Vehicle Chargers at public locations such as malls and gas stations.
