Cisco To Layoff 7%

Cisco, the multinational technology company that designs, manufactures, and sells networking hardware, software, and services, has announced plans to lay off 7% of its global workforce as part of a cost-cutting initiative.

According to reports, the layoffs are expected to cost the company about $700 million to $800 million USD in the first quarter of its 2025 fiscal year, as it shifts its focus to high-growth areas.

In February 2024, Incognito blog reported the company laid off 4% of its workforce, amounting to about 4,000 employees.
