Scout Motors: $2 Billion EV Facility

Scout Motors Inc. is an automotive company founded in 2022 to produce off-road electric vehicles. The company is headquartered in Virginia, USA, and operates under its parent company, Navistar International. In 2021, Navistar became a subsidiary of Traton Group, therefore making the company part of the German Volkswagen Group.

According to reports, Scout Motors has commenced construction of its electric SUV facility in South Carolina, backed by Germany’s Volkswagen Group. The $2 billion EV plant spans across 1,600 acres and aims to commence vehicle production by the end of 2026, with plans to produce 200,000 vehicles annually.
