Airbus To Layoff 2,500

Airbus is a European aerospace corporation founded in 1970 and headquartered in Blagnac, France. It designs, manufactures, and delivers commercial aircraft, helicopters, defense and space systems, and related services.

According to reports, Airbus has announced plans to lay off around 2,500 employees, which amounts to 7% of its workforce, particularly in its defense and space division due to financial struggles.

The report further mentions that the job cuts are expected to begin in mid-2026, as the defense and space sectors have been facing significant losses of up to $1.63 billion USD in charges related to the OneSat project and delays and rising costs in defense.
