Stellantis has issued a recall of 20,755 vehicles in the United States due to a concern with the brake pedal that could disengage while being applied.
There have been reports of 15 cases globally; affected vehicles include 2024-2025 Alfa Romeo Tonale plug-in hybrid SUVs and 2024 Dodge Hornet PHEV SUVs.
Owners could also use the electronic parking brake to slow the vehicle in a controlled manner if they encounter a loss of braking power. Dealers will reinforce the brake pedal by adding a bolt and nut to remedy the issue free of charge. The company also flagged affected units in other countries, including about 2,280 in Canada, 134 in Mexico, and 30,517 in certain markets outside North America.
