Apple has unveiled Apple Intelligence, its new AI feature that will improve its operating system by partnering with OpenAI to bring ChatGPT to its devices.
According to the report, Siri will be integrated with ChatGPT to generate a response when it cannot answer a query, as well as image generation capabilities. ChatGPT will also be integrated into Apple’s writing tools to help with rewrite options across the system.
The report further mentions that users do not need to create a ChatGPT or OpenAI account to access the features. Apple Intelligence will be available for free later this year on newer Apple devices like the iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 18, iPadOS 18, M1 Mac, and macOS Sequoia. This means that older iPhones or iPhone 15 users won’t be able to use these features.
