Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and WhatsApp, has announced the launch of its new AI chatbot called Meta AI powered by Llama 3, now running on the search bar of its major platforms. It is also accessible via a standalone website at Meta.ai.
According to reports, Meta AI has been available in the US and is currently being rolled out in English in Australia, Canada, Ghana, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. It will be accessible in more countries and languages in the coming months free of charge.
The chatbot can also be accessed in personal and group chats and has the ability to integrate real-time search results from both Bing and Google, as well as generate images and animations.
