OpenAI, the parent company of the generative AI chatbot, ChatGPT, has launched a store to house custom built text and image generating applications that are powered by the company’s large language models. The GPT Store was initially announced in 2023 but unforeseen delays held off the launch until this year.
According to recent reports, customers can only access the GPT Store if they are subscribed to one of the premium ChatGPT plans like Plus or Enterprise. To build GPT powered applications, little to no coding experience is required, as customers can type their feature requests in plain language and the builder will try to develop the application in line with their input.
