Falcon’s Flight: World’s Fastest Rollercoaster

Riyadh, formerly known as Hajr al-Yamamah, is the capital of Saudi Arabia. It has a population of 7 million residents as of 2022, making it the largest and most populous city on the Arabian Peninsula. The city is located in the center of the an-Nafud desert, on the eastern part of the Najd plateau. It attracts around 5 million tourists each year, making it the 6th most visited city in the Middle East.

In addition, is the Falcon’s Flight Rollercoaster at the Six Flags Qiddiya amusement park. It spans a distance of 2.6 miles (4.2 kilometers) and features an impressive 640 feet drop and a speed of up to 156mph. With a 14-passenger train, it holds the title of the world’s fastest and tallest rollercoaster. The Six Flags Qiddiya amusement park covers approximately 32 hectares and consists of six themed lands, with the Falcon’s Flight being one of the 28 attractions in the park. The design process for the Falcon’s Flight began in collaboration between Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) and Intamin Amusement Rides in 2022.

This thrilling attraction is expected to open in 2024 and will significantly boost tourism and entertainment in Saudi Arabia.
