Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is a Nigerian artist born on July 16 1990 in Lagos, Nigeria. Wizkid’s professional music career reportedly started in 2009, when he signed a recording contract with Olubankole Wellington’s (popularly known as Banky W) Empire Mates Entertainment music group.
In 2019, Wizkid appeared on Beyonce’s project with his single ‘Brown Skin Girl’ and won a Grammy Award for Best Music Video. In a recent report by Chart Data, Wizkid has now exceeded 6 billion total streams on Spotify, making him the first African artist to reach this milestone.
