Tesla has issued a recall of over 1.6 million vehicles in China over the assisted driving feature and door-locking systems. According to the Chinese State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), certain models experience issues with the autosteer feature as well as the door-locking system.
The models affected include: Imported Models S and X (7,538 units) and the China-made Models 3 and Y cars made from 2014 to 2023, totaling 1,610,105 units. The company will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update to affected vehicles.
Last year, Incognito Blog reported the recall of over 2 million Tesla vehicles due to a problem with the Autosteer feature.
