Siemens AG, the German multinational technology company has announced plans to buy Altair Engineering for $10.6 billion USD to expand its portfolio in the industrial software market.
According to reports, this deal will integrate Altair’s simulation software that predicts how products would work in the real world and will drive innovation in the engineering software space, by boosting its digital offering to improve the performance of its production lines. It is expected to close in the second half of 2025.
