Tesla has issued a recall for over 27,000 vehicles in the United States due to delayed rear-view camera images that could impair driver visibility and increase crash risks.
According to reports, the problem is from the vehicles’ shutdown and reboot systems, which can leave the rear-view display blank for up to six to eight seconds when the vehicle is in reverse, which can impair driver visibility and increase the risk of a crash.
Affected vehicles include the Cybertrucks. The company has assured customers that an over-the-air software update will fix the issue and enhance vehicle safety; all Cybertrucks currently in production have received the software fix.
