According to reports, the company has announced plans to lay off 2,900 employees as part of a cost-cutting initiative to streamline operations affecting corporate roles and not frontline jobs in stores and pharmacies.
The report further mentions that Glenview Capital Management is in talks with the company as it aims to strengthen its operating performance, as it has fallen short in its investments in recent years.
