Mercedes-Benz To Recall Over 27,000 Vehicles

Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall of more than 27,000 vehicles in the United States due to a potential risk of engine stall or fire.

According to reports, the engine control unit (ECU) software may cause the engine to overheat or stall, increasing the risk of a crash or fire even when the vehicle is turned off.

Affected vehicles include certain Mercedes and Maybach S580 luxury sedans from 2021 to 2023. Owners will be notified by email to bring their vehicles to dealers to update the ECU software free of charge.
