Stellantis To Recall 15,835 Vehicles

Stellantis has issued a recall of 15,835 vehicles in the United States due to a software error affecting the front airbags.

According to reports, the airbag control module may malfunction due to a software issue, which may cause the airbags to deploy with excessive force in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the driver and passengers.

Affected vehicles include 2017-2020 Fiat 124 Spider sports car models. Dealers will update the airbag control module software free of charge, with notification letters scheduled to be sent in November.
