Octopus Energy Group is a British renewable energy group founded in 2015 and headquartered in London, England. It specializes in sustainable energy and is the UK’s largest supplier of electricity to domestic customers and the second largest in domestic gas.
According to reports, Octopus has announced plans to acquire Exagen Group, a solar and battery storage developer, to expand its renewable energy pipeline, adding 260 MW of solar and 268 MW of battery storage to its operations.
The report further mentions that this deal will increase the build-out of new green energy and rapidly grow the UK’s energy storage capacity as Britain aims to have 95% of its electricity from low-carbon sources by 2030.
