DSV: $15.85 Billion Schenker Acquisition Deal

DSV A/S is a Danish transport and logistics company founded in 1976 and headquartered in Hedehusene, Denmark. It offers global transport services by road, air, sea, and train, with international presence through a series of strategic competitor acquisitions.

According to reports, DSV has announced plans to acquire Schenker, the logistics arm of Deutsche Bahn, for $15.85 billion USD, making it the world’s largest logistics company. This acquisition will strengthen its competitiveness and provide access to new markets in a highly dynamic industry.

The report further mentions that the transaction will be financed through a combination of an equity raising of 4-5 billion euros and debt financing and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2025.

DB Schenker is a global logistics and transportation division of German rail operator Deutsche Bahn that provides a range of services including land transport, air freight, ocean freight, contract logistics, and lead logistics.
