According to reports, Blackstone has announced plans to acquire AirTrunk, an Australian data center platform, for $16.1 billion USD, making it Blackstone’s largest investment in the Asia Pacific region.
The report further mentions that Blackstone and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) are acquiring AirTrunk in a bid to expand Blackstone’s digital infrastructure portfolio as well as to meet the growing demand for data centers in the Asia Pacific region.
