General Motors To Layoff 1,000

General Motors, the American multinational auto manufacturing company has announced plans to lay off over 1,000 employees, which amounts to about 1.3% of its global workforce as part of a restructuring initiative.

The report further mentions that the restructuring is aimed at streamlining operations and prioritizing investments with the greatest impact. The layoffs will affect employees in the software and service divisions.

In December 2023, the Incognito blog reported General Motors’ plan to lay off 1,314 employees, a global restructuring expected to take place in 2024.
