BMW To Recall 1.36 Million Vehicles In China

BMW has issued a recall of 1.36 million vehicles in China due to airbag safety concerns. According to reports, the recall is related to potential risks with the Takata airbag inflators, which affect both locally manufactured and imported BMW vehicles.

Affected vehicles include 598,496 units produced in China and 759,448 imported vehicles produced between 2003 and 2017. BMW will inspect and replace the driver’s front airbag free of charge.

Last month, Incognito blog reported the recall of over 394,000 vehicles in the United States due to faulty airbag inflators manufactured by Takata Corporation.
