Grail Inc. is an American biotechnology company founded in 2015 and headquartered in Menlo Park, California. It was previously a subsidiary of Illumina, it developed an early cancer screening test called the Galleri test for people who do not have symptoms.
According to reports, Grail has announced plans to lay off 350 employees, which amounts to about 28% of its workforce as part of a restructuring initiative.
The report further mentions that Grail plans to cut costs and focus on the development of its flagship cancer-detection test, Galleri, as well as welcome commercial partnerships.
