Stellantis To Layoff 2,450

Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler, has announced plans to lay off 2,450 factory workers from its Warren Truck assembly plant outside of Detroit.

According to reports, the layoffs come as the company ends production of the Ram 1500 Classic truck and shifts its focus to the production of the Jeep Wagoneer SUV.

The layoffs are expected to begin in October 2024, as the plant moves from a two-shift to a one-shift operating pattern in general assembly.
