The world’s largest 3D-printed neighborhood, which started construction in November 2022, is near completion in Georgetown, Texas, and will consist of 100 homes.
According to reports, the 3D-printed homes at Wolf Ranch, a community in Georgetown called the “Genesis Collection”, will feature single-story 3 to 4-bedroom homes with rooftop solar panels, which take about 3 weeks to finish printing and are designed and constructed using ICON’s Vulcan robotic construction system.
The report further mentions that the concrete walls are designed to be resistant to water, mold, termites, and extreme weather, while the foundation and metal roofs are installed traditionally. The homes will cost about $450,000 USD to $600,000 USD, with more than one quarter of the 100 homes sold.
