International Friendship Day is celebrated on July 30th every year to recognize and appreciate the importance of friendships in our lives.
The idea of Friendship Day was first proposed in Paraguay on August 2, 1958, by Joyce Hall, and then the United Nations General Assembly in 2011 designated July 30 as the International Day of Friendship, to promote and celebrate friendships, which are essential for building strong and supportive communities.
Friendships are a vital part of our lives, and this day is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen those bonds, celebrate diversity, and make new connections by spending quality time with friends, making a thoughtful gift, and writing heartfelt letters or messages.
We at Incognito blog use this opportunity to express our gratitude, with many countries participating in the celebrations. Happy International Friendship Day.
