Wildfires In Jasper Leads To Evacuation

Jasper is a town in western Alberta, within the Canadian Rockies. The Jasper National Park is a popular tourist destination. The town has a population of over 4,000 residents as of 2021.

According to reports, an ongoing wildfire has resulted in the destruction of several structures and led to evacuations in the town of Jasper and the Jasper National Park, which had about 15,000 visitors.

The report further mentions that about 25,000 people were forced to evacuate the town as firefighters try to save structures from being destroyed, such as the wastewater treatment plant, communications facilities, and the Trans Mountain Pipeline.

In May, Incognito blog reported wildfires that led to evacuations in Fort McMurray.
