NBA: $77 Billion Broadcasting Deal

The National Basketball Association (NBA) is a men’s professional basketball league in North America founded in 1946 and headquartered in New York. It is composed of 30 teams from the United States and Canada and is considered the premier professional basketball league in the world.

According to reports, the NBA has signed an 11-year broadcasting deal with Disney, Amazon, and NBCUniversal valued at $77 billion USD starting with the 2025-2026 season. This deal will maximize the reach and accessibility of NBA games for fans in the United States and around the world.

The report further mentions that Warner Bros. Discovery has lost the right to broadcast NBA games, which it had held for over 40 years, due to this new deal.

Disney will carry 80 regular-season NBA games. The ABC network will remain exclusive for the NBA finals. NBCUniversal will carry 100 regular-season NBA games, with more than half airing on NBC. Amazon will carry 66 regular-season NBA games, including at least one game on Black Friday.
