Nepal: Plane Crash Kills 18

Nepal, formally known as the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, is a landlocked country in South Asia with a population of 30.6 million residents as of 2022. It is bordered by China and India.

According to reports, a plane crashed while taking off from Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, and caught fire, killing 18 people on board, with only one survivor – the pilot, who is currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

The report further mentions that the Saurya Airlines test flight was headed to Pokhara for a routine maintenance check and was carrying 17 company employees, including technical staff, as well as two crew members when it crashed. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
