Stellantis Recalls 19,516 Vehicles

Stellantis has issued a recall of 19,516 vehicles in the United States due to a potential fire risk.

According to the notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the battery pack of these vehicles may cause a fire when parked, even when the ignition is switched off. Owners have been advised not to charge their vehicles and to park them outside and away from structures until they are repaired.

The affected vehicles include 2017-2021 Chrysler Pacifica Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV) vehicles. Dealers will update the software of the high voltage battery pack control module (BPCM) or replace it free of charge if an anomaly is detected.
