Toyota has announced plans to invest in Ionna to establish a new electric vehicle (EV) charging network throughout North America in partnership with BMW, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, and Stellantis.
According to reports, this investment will give Toyota and Lexus customers access to a public network of DC fast chargers which are scheduled to be rolled out later this year.
The report further mentions that Ionna plans to install at least 30,000 charging ports that will support both NACS and CCS connectors in North America by 2030 to accommodate all types of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs).
