Lucid has issued a recall of 12,757 vehicles due to a software error as well as an issue with the coolant heater.
According to reports, the software error could cause the vehicle to lose drive power and increase the risk of a crash. Affected vehicles include 5,251 units of its 2022-2023 Air luxury sedans.
The report further mentions that Lucid is also recalling 7,506 units of its 2022-2024 Air luxury sedans due to an issue with a coolant heater that could fail to defrost the windshield.
Lucid released an over the air (OTA) software update in June to fix the software issue and a separate update to identify a high voltage coolant heater failure and provide a warning to the drivers of the affected vehicles.
