According to reports, Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment (CSSE) recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, citing nearly $1 billion USD in debt owed to more than 500 creditors, including Walmart, Walgreens, and Sony Pictures.

The report further mentions that CSSE acquired Redbox in 2022 and took on $325 million USD in debt from the DVD rental company.
