Boeing: $4.7 Billion Spirit Aero Acquisition

The Boeing company is an American multinational company founded in 1916 and headquartered in Crystal City, Virginia. It designs, manufactures, and sells airplanes, rockets, satellites, security systems, and missiles worldwide.

According to reports, Boeing has announced plans to acquire Spirit AeroSystems in an all-stock deal valued at $4.7 billion USD to solidify its position in the aerospace industry.

This acquisition is expected to close in mid-2025 and the total value is $8.3 billion USD, including Spirit’s last reported net debt. Airbus will also receive compensation of $559 million USD for taking over the plants, which make strategic parts for the A350 and A220 jets.

Spirit AeroSystems Holdings, Inc., is an American aerostructure manufacturer founded in 2005 and headquartered in Wichita, Kansas. The company produces structural components for the aerospace industry such as fuselages, wings, pylons, and nacelles.
