Volkswagen Recalls 271,330 Vehicles

Volkswagen has issued a recall of 271,330 vehicles due to faulty passenger-side airbags. According to the notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), a wiring error under the front passenger seat may cause the airbags not to deploy during a crash.

Affected vehicles include 2021-2024 Volkswagen Atlas and 2020-2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport models.

Owners will have their dealers replace the faulty sensor mat and wiring free of charge, with notification letters scheduled to be sent in August.
