Toyota has issued a recall of 102,092 vehicles over possible debris in the engine.
According to the notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), certain vehicles equipped with a V35A engine may have debris from the manufacturing process that may contaminate the engine and cause the main bearings to fail, which can result in an engine stall and loss of drive power.
Affected vehicles include 2022-2023 Tundra and Lexus LX600 vehicles. A remedy is currently under development with notification letters scheduled to be sent in July 2024, with a second letter sent when the remedy is available.
