According to reports, a wildfire that began on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in San Joaquin County, California, has led to evacuations in the city of Tracy after a home was burned down.

The Corral Fire, as it is being referred to, has burned through over 14,000 acres as of Sunday evening, with 50% contained. About 2 firefighters sustained injuries while responding to the fire, with no reports of fatalities.

The report further mentions that two major highways, Interstate 580 and 205, were closed due to the fire, smoke, and zero visibility but have since reopened.
