Google: $2 Billion Investment In Malaysia

Google has announced plans to invest $2 billion USD in Malaysia to develop its first data center and cloud hub in the country.

This investment deal will enhance the country’s digital ambitions and artificial intelligence capabilities, as well as other advanced technologies, to unlock the potential of digital transformation.

The report further mentions that the data center will be located in Selangor state and will power digital services like maps, workspace, and AI services. Meanwhile, the cloud center will deliver services to large enterprises and the public sector.

Earlier this month, Incognito blog reported a $2.2 billion USD investment in Malaysia to enhance its cloud and AI infrastructures.
