Italy: $10.7 Billion Microelectronics Investment

The Italian government has announced plans to invest $10.7 billion USD in the semiconductor industry as it prepares to become one of the largest microelectronics producers in Europe.

The investment will be used to build semiconductor facilities, promote economic development, create high-quality jobs, and enhance international collaboration in the competitive semiconductor market.

This comes as Silicon Box, a company that specializes in semiconductor packaging, particularly in chiplet integration services, announced plans to partner with the government of Italy and invest $3.5 billion USD to build a chiplet assembly and test factory in northern Italy.
