Tesla has announced plans to lay off its entire supercharging team which is approximately 500 employees as part of a cost reduction effort stating financial difficulties.
This move comes when every major automaker with presence in North America adopted Tesla’s supercharging system known as the North American Charging Standard (NACS) because it is widely available, and has optimized performance than other charging networks.
The report further states Musk posted on X, Tesla’s plan to grow the Supercharger network, at a slower pace for new locations and focus on 100% uptime and expansion of existing locations.
Last month, Incognito blog reported Tesla’s plan to layoff 14,000 employees as part of restructuring initiative.
