Microsoft has announced plans to invest $1.7 billion USD in cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure in Indonesia. This investment deal is expected to be made over the next four years and will include building a new data center as it aims to bring the latest AI and cloud infrastructure to Indonesia.
The report further states that Microsoft will provide training and support to 840,000 people to develop AI skills by 2025.
Earlier this month, the Incognito blog reported a $2.9 billion investment in cloud and AI infrastructure in Japan and a $1.5 billion investment in UAE-based AI firm G42.
