This month has been a blend of hard work and emotions all-in-one. So, I started April 2024 with a new role coordinating operations at a Hardware-as-a-Service (Haas) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company that is going through an exponential growth phase and it has been ecstatic.

To paint a picture of the level of brilliant colleagues I get to work with, we patented our software solution, yes it’s that serious. A patent is when you have legal rights to an invention, excluding others from making, or selling said property for a limited period of time.

This feeling of accomplishment also comes with a burst of emotions for me. I do not have a lot of things left to worry about so I miss my family, and I miss being away from home. Sadly, I lost my Aunt and she will be laid to rest in a few days so I guess my emotions are all over the place. I also had this talk with my brother about a certain tradition back home that happens when someone passes, whereby there’s tons of renovations that go on before the funeral – our question is, why can’t all these be done when the person is still here? Maybe finances? Maybe.

Anyway, Rest in the perfect resting place of the Lord, Aunty M – Know you are loved.
