Easter, also known as Resurrection Sunday, is a Christian celebration that marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ of Nazareth after he was crucified on Good Friday. After Jesus was crucified by the Romans, He died, and was buried in a tomb. On the third day (Easter), the tomb was empty and Jesus Christ was seen by hundreds of thousands of people including his disciples.
This is one of the basis of the Christian faith, knowing that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was killed as a man but rose from the dead as a sign that death has no hold over His children. This miracle is the reason billions of Christians across the world partake in the feast of Holy Communion, accepting that His body and blood was shed for us.
