Brazil: Flood Kills 27

The Federative Republic of Brazil, commonly known as Brazil, is a country located in South America with a population of over 200 million residents. Brazil is supposedly the 5th largest country in the world by area (3,287,956 square mi) and the 7th most populous.

Intense rainfall has struck parts of Southeastern Brazil, causing severe flooding in Espirito Santo and Rio de Janeiro since Sunday, March 24, 2024. This flooding has resulted in at least 27 fatalities and about 6 people missing, with over 7,000 people evacuated from their homes. Emergency rescue operations are underway in both states, working to assist the affected residents and control the damage.
