Foodora is an online food delivery brand, a subsidiary of Delivery Hero, the German multinational online food ordering and delivery company. Foodora was founded in 2014 with its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. According to reports, Foodora has partnered with Tele2, a mobile connectivity firm, and Aerit, a drone manufacturer, to launch the Foodora Air Drone delivery service in Sweden.
The report further mentions that the drones resemble flying milk cans, with a flight range of 21 kilometers and a maximum delivery weight of 4 kilograms. These drones will be powered by 5G connectivity to facilitate swift and efficient food deliveries.
The service will be accessible through the Foodora app and is scheduled to be operational in May 2024, starting with the municipality of Varmdo, as the company aims to extend its reach across the nation.
