The China Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund is government guidance fund that was founded in 2014 with its headquarters in Beijing, China. It is an investment management company that aims to help the country attain its primary goal of self reliance in the semiconductor industry.
According to recent reports, China is looking to fortify its chip market with up to $27 billion USD in investments. The fund will be managed by the China Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund and will source capital from investors like the government of Shanghai, and China Chengtong Holdings Group etc. The investments will be used to strengthen the semiconductor/chip industry in the region by supporting local companies.
