Airbnb bans Indoor Security Cameras

Airbnb, the platform where home owners can list their properties for long term or short term stay, has announced the ban of indoor security cameras in properties. Previously, home owners also referred to as hosts had the option of placing security cameras in common areas living corridors, as long as it was mentioned in the advert.

The report further mentions that outdoor security cameras like doorbell cameras, are still allowed on the platform as long as they are mentioned in the property’s advert. Hosts who have indoor security cameras will have to remove them by April 30 2024 of face account restriction or removal from the Airbnb platform.
