Starbucks Corporation is an American multinational chain of coffeehouses and roastery reserves. It is currently the world’s largest coffeehouse chain. Founded in 1971 with its headquarters in Washington, USA, the company operates over 35,000 stores in about 80 countries.
According to reports, AlShaya Group, the operator of Starbucks in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has announced plans to lay off 2,000 employees due to challenging trading conditions and boycotts faced as a result of the ongoing war in Gaza. The report further states that Starbucks and AlShaya still look forward to long-term growth working in the region.
