Sony to Layoff 900 in Gaming Division

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC is a multinational video game and digital entertainment company. It was founded in 2016 with its headquarters in San Mateo, California. It is a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation and primarily operates the PlayStation brand of video game consoles and products.

According to reports, Sony has announced plans to lay off 900 PlayStation employees, which amounts to 8% of its global workforce, in a restructuring plan aimed at improving the growth and development of the company. The layoffs will affect employees in America and Japan.

The report further mentions that the company plans to close its PlayStation’s London Studio in an effort to cut costs as part of the restructuring.
